Madden, Preseason Football, Charter School, and Heath Ledger as the Joker?
Sorry about that. Had to clip my nails to type this entry. Been awhile, yet again. Didn't feel the urge to post an entry here...that was until I read something interesting on wikipedia.org (my current fav), but we'll get to that in a few.

First off, MADDEN. Yes, I watched most of the HOF induction. Reggie White, Troy Aikman, John Madden, Harry Carson, Warren Moon, and the other guy that I can't remember at the moment. Anyhoo, the ball is rolling for Madden 2007. I plan on getting it. The RB on the cover will be injured and will be another victim of the MADDEN CURSE (also on wikipedia.org, that site is great). But I think that I've just about had it w/MADDEN reserves and midnite openings and mentioning all of the deals where if you trade in everything under the ESPN name, there's a slight possibility that the customer can MADDEN 07 for $30. As the magazine says w/MADDEN, it went from EA SPORTS! IT'S IN THE GAME to EA SPORTS OR ELSE! Stupid EA and their secret sweat shops. Note: I'm only getting MADDEN b/c with all the yards that my QB and WR put up, I'll finally get to put my player in the HOF.

Preseason Football. I will watch, but the games mean nothing. End of Story.

My daughter is going to school in 2 weeks. Unbelievable. In all honesty, I feel sooo bad for the little monster. From what I understand, by February, she should be reading on a second grade level. Wow. The Charter school will be like a military camp for the bugger. But, I wanted her in a good school, so I got what I wanted. Now the fun part is trying to buy those damn uniforms. And then I have to find them in her size. They have to be the right color, and this that and the other. I just can't keep up with it. That's what mommies are for. At the present moment, I paid the school close to $200 for uniforms. Oh, and did I mention that the school sent me a list of things that she needed. How about 6 packs of Crayola Crayons. Not too bad right? Try 8 bottles of Elmer's glue sticks, an art smock, baby wipes, Lysol disinfectant spray, just to name a few. Why don't they call it "The Glorified Babysitters Convention". Oh never mind, that's what school is anyway. All I can say is, have fun Jade. Daddy loves you.

Earlier I mentioned reading something on...you guessed it, wikipedia.org. They should pay me for the numerous endorsements I just gave. Anyhoo. After viewing numerous superhero movies over the past three years (Superman Returns does not count, nor will it ever, as a superhero movie), I found myself reading about Christian Bale. So the next BATMAN will be called The DARK KNIGHT. KILLER!!! And it was obvious that the Joker would be in the next flick. But Heath Ledger as The Joker? I don't know. Christopher Nolan made an interesting comment when asked about Robin. His comment: As long as I'm directing this franchise, Robin will never appear. His reason for not having Robin? BATMAN is still young and Robin is still sleeping in his crib. Another interesting fact, Bale was in talks to appear as Robin in BATMAN FOREVER. Aren't we all glad that deal never materialized? Well I am. At least The Joker won't get killed in this one. And Harvey Dent will also appear. Woo Hoo. Let's see, we've Ghost Rider. Spider-Man 3. And then The DARK KNIGHT in 2008. Life is good.
